A lot of people have been shaking their heads at me this week… like there’s absolutely no way in hell they would run a marathon.
Not even a marathon, I’ve gotten a lot of the same reaction about running in general. If I’m feeling particularly patient or preachy that day, then I remind them that I was running 6-10 miles a week just three months ago.
If you push yourself a little bit, whether it’s seconds, minutes or miles – or anything at all that you want to do in life! – it gets easier. And it even gets fun!
(I read about a man who literally ran something like 43 seconds the first time he went out, but he did it again the next day, and the day after that. I wish I could find that story to share with you!)
